Today's word was "Empathy"

 When Someone is hurting
I can reach out with care.

I don't have to know them,

to tell them "I'm there."

I don't have to suffer

I just need to see

that what hurts my neighbor

will also hurt me.

We all share this planet.

We are neighbors to all.

When people are suffering -

build a bridge, not a wall!

Random Acts of Poetry 10/7/2020

 For work this week, I put together small ziplock bags with 1 piece of sidewalk chalk for "Random Acts of Poetry Day"

This poem was on the bag:

With this little piece of chalk,
write a poem on your walk.
From your head or from a book.
Tell your friends to take a look!

People liked the idea! More people added poems on the sidewalk in front of the library. (I put a short version of my poem outside.)
