This week has been a lesson in how not to walk a dog. We've been thinking it fun to allow Buddy to decide where we're going - it makes walks a bit of an adventure and unless you have plans and need to be in a hurry, it works out well.
Tuesday, I needed to get back home, so we were going to take a 1 mile walk. But as we went along, Buddy wouldn't take my directions. He refused to turn towards home. (Though this photo of uncooperative doggy was yesterday when he didn't want to continue walking - but the resulting taut leash is the same) We ended up on a 2-mile walk to where my daughter will park her car. I had to call my husband to come pick us up - I knew where he was headed and I didn't have time to walk home from there. So Buddy happily trotted over to the car, as if he was saying "See, I told you it would be here"
Today, we seemed to be on the same wave-length and all was well.
