I've been to Guatemala and home again. We've had Thanksgiving, I had another surgery in Minneapolis to fix the hernia caused by the kidney surgery. That brought some tummy issues I've been dealing with through a change in diet... and of course recovery reduced walking and then it was back again... We had Christmas, New Year.
And in November (I jumped right over it) I felt devestated in the Presidential election. I knew my guy Bernie was already out of the race but I never imagined we'd imagine our current president actually being elected.
I've worn a pink kitty cat cap along with millions to stand up against horrible words directed at women, LGBTQ people, immigrants, refugees, etc... We're living in a dystopian novel!
And maybe just blogging about walking and exercise seems so irrelevant.... maybe .
But it's also about health, life and happiness.
We should all be free to have those things.
Today, it's also about tears.

So... last week I also had a crick in my neck and maybe am coming down with a cold. I have not been walking much. That starts back today.... or tomorrow.
Rachel ran in the Disney Princess challenge - a 10K on Saturday and Half Marathon yesterday - Sunday. I'm very proud of her. She's looking forward to showing her counselor the medals! He had been prepping her for the "not finishing" She was determined!
So onward... for all of us!
