Treasure

my word prompt was treasure which led to a drawing of a "treasure chest" with an X through it and Dave, Jeremiah, Nathaniel and Rachel together with a red heart.  Then I wrote about what I treasure. It's a mice list. And then I tried to write a poem. It wasn't coming together well which happens sometimes,
I know that writing and drawing doesn't have to be "good" or even finished to hit the goal of writing and drawing.
And I absolutely know that all I've done so far has not been very good. The point is to be creative! And I do enjoy that.
Later, I came back to it and wrote this simpler poem:

When pirates look for treasure,
They're hoping for jewels and gold.
They'd want to carry it off in a chest
and bury it out at sea.
What they'd find in my life
won't fit in a box at all.
It's family & friends & pets and love
and a whole lot of memories!
