Be Late for Something

 It's "Be late for something Day"
A holiday I finally got right!
Late is my normal way to be
Sometimes it gives me a fright!

There's always one more thing to do
before I get out the door.
I need to check I've got everything
and then I check some more.

Do I have my keys? My mask? My sling?

My purse? My water? My phone?

Did I take care of the dog and cat?

Should I give Luna a bone?

This is what I do right now

and soon I'm back to work.

I'll try real hard to be on time.

I don't want to be a jerk!
